Description

This refreshing Peach Lemonade recipe combines juicy peaches with tart lemon juice and a hint of sweetness to create a perfect summer drink. The homemade peach syrup adds a rich, fruity flavor that pairs beautifully with fresh lemon slices and ice for a cool, invigorating beverage.

Ingredients

Scale

Peach Syrup

  • 3-4 peaches, pitted and diced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water (from the total water quantity)

Drink

  • 4 cups cold water (remaining from total water quantity)
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6 lemons)
  • Ice, as needed
  • Fresh peach slices, for garnish
  • Fresh lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Peaches: Wash 3-4 peaches and remove the pits. You can remove the skin if desired, but leaving it on adds to the syrup’s texture and flavor. Dice the peaches into small pieces.
  2. Cook Peach Syrup: In a saucepan, combine diced peaches, 1 cup granulated sugar, and ½ cup water. Cook over medium heat until the peaches are soft, the sugar dissolves completely, and the mixture is syrupy and bubbling, about 8 minutes.
  3. Blend Syrup: Remove the saucepan from heat and carefully transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor. Cover the lid and wrap with a clean kitchen towel to prevent splashes. Blend the mixture until smooth. Optionally, strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve using a spoon or spatula to remove solids. Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature or chill it in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  4. Mix Lemonade: When ready to serve, combine the peach syrup, 1 cup fresh lemon juice, 4 cups of cold water, and ice in a large pitcher. Stir well to blend all ingredients.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Add fresh peach slices and lemon slices to the pitcher for garnish. Serve chilled over ice for a refreshing drink.

Notes

  • To make the lemonade less sweet, reduce the sugar in the peach syrup.
  • You can peel the peaches before dicing if a smoother syrup texture is preferred.
  • Straining the syrup is optional but results in a clearer lemonade.
  • Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor, avoiding bottled lemon juice which can taste processed.
  • This lemonade can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
